Parallel Lives

Parallel Lives

For just over two years I have been experiencing something extraordinary–at least to me. After much deliberation, I have decided to share it with all of you as I am firm believer that in sharing we all learn and grow. It is not shared for debate nor argument as to how plausible the events are or whether some think they are fantasy. They were possible and advantageous to me. In turn, I hope you will find them of benefit. At the very least this information could lend itself to the possibility that there is far more to us than what we readily understand.

We are miracles in motion. We are mysteries that long to be explored and understood. I am sharing my mysteries with hopes that yours will be recognized and followed. I know you will find that the discovery you make is not one of confounding puzzlement but rather the familiarity and comfort of an old friend. Like well-worn pages of a favourite book you will recognize and appreciate all the different chapters that contribute to the uniqueness that is entirely you.

You are energy in physical form on this plane of existence and your energy radiates through time and space to other realms. Inasmuch as you are in your body you are everywhere, all at once, also. Our focus is on this plane of existence and for some the focus is held so intently that they believe this is all there is. There is so much more!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to come face to face with another version of you? A you that is existing on a realm far beyond the one you are focused on in the here and now? I had never given it a tremendous amount of thought other than to have a glimmer of understanding that a) there is no time and b) everything in our Universe occurs simultaneously. Little did I know that I was about to experience one of the biggest secrets of all. That what we do on this plane of existence impacts all other levels of existence–and–vice versa. Neither are we alone. Ever.

It is true, “When the student is ready the teacher will appear”. I, the student, was ready and much to my surprise I, the teacher, appeared.

All contact was made via meditation and continues to this day. I have chosen to share from the beginning, in a narrative format, much like my documentation of each episode as it unfolded. It will not be dated as the information is as timeless as we are. Each section will offer a frame of reference as to the meditation itself. The interaction will be in italics. ©

Meditation – My First Encounter

Entering into mediation I took the usual path through the forest, up the dirt path and into the clearing where my Tibetan Buddhist monk always sits, smiling and waiting. Sitting cross-legged in front of this monk whom I refer to as Buddy, I could see Seraph, the Wise Guy as I fondly call him, sitting off to Buddy’s left. Generally, in meditation, Buddy and I think thoughts to each other. However, with Seraph it is vastly different. When Seraph communicates he begins to walk in a clockwise circle around Buddy and I. I can feel different vibrations from Seraph course through me and I process and interpret them in rapid fire. What has always been so astounding to me is that when I am processing and interpreting the vibrations Seraph sends me I can sense that he is actually watching the vibratory exchange and knows if I have interpreted his messages correctly.

On this particular day, Seraph was beginning to make his clockwise trek around Buddy and I and suddenly we both began turning with him as he walked. It became increasingly difficult to keep my eyes trained on Buddy so I closed them and just went with the sensations. When they stopped I opened my eyes. Seraph was once again off to the left and away from Buddy. I, as always sat with Buddy sitting in front of me, smiling. Something caught my eye just beyond the clearing and as I trained my focus to it I could see a pulsing yellow light through the trees. I immediately asked Buddy what it was and he suggested I go and see for myself.

I started through the clearing toward the hypnotic, pulsing yellow light. It shone invitingly through the trees, beckoning me. I stopped briefly just before entering the treed area to find the pathway. Once found, I stepped timidly into the yellow landscape before me. It felt warm the way familiarity feels warm and my heart quickened in anticipation. I was barely into the trees when the light suddenly intensified and I was momentarily blinded. When it subsided I saw that I wasn’t in the midst of trees at all.

The street was paved and straight as an arrow. Houses stood neat and trim an appropriate and equal distance from the curb. A tree proudly stood at the foot of each driveway and a glow of light radiated from the windows at each home. I marveled at the perfection of it all. Something caught my eye. There were two people walking up the middle of the road arm in arm. A man whom I didn’t recognize and a woman who looked strikingly familiar though I couldn’t readily place her. They were coming closer now. I could see the pure love between the two of them and I felt I should look the other way but my gaze was transfixed.

Suddenly she looked over and smiled at me. It wasn’t a shy smile but a huge, beaming smile. She nudged her partner and nodded her head in my direction and he began to smile too. He kissed her tenderly on the cheek, disengaged from her and with a wave he was off. She waved after him and then once more turned her attention to me and with a smile that barely concealed her excitement she hurried over to me.

Mesmerized and speechless I allowed her to link her arm in mine. Playfully, she gave it a tug and encouraged me to walk with her.

“I’m so thrilled to see you here! There is so much for us to talk about. Let’s go and sit on the dock and visit,” her voice was melodic and I found myself once again entranced. As we walked she chatted amiably but I do not recall exactly what she said. It was her voice that captivated me. I had heard it somewhere before. But where?

She sat down cross-legged at the end of the dock and motioned for me to sit next to her. Once settled I began to take in the surroundings.

“I don’t recall the sky ever looking so blue,” I thought to myself. The sun was brilliant and appeared bigger than I had ever seen. I ran my hand along my forearm searching for the first signs of searing heat. “How odd I don’t feel hot.” I was pondering that fact when her voice interrupted my inner process.

“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” The voice was eerily familiar but quite calm and gentle. I glanced sideways at her and watched as her auburn hair reflected the sunlight.

I nodded my approval and looked across the lake taking in as much as I could. Nothing seemed real. The colors were vivid in the shimmer of the moment.

“You like thunderstorms, don’t you.” came the quiet question. It was unnerving that the tone was more of a statement instead of a question. A part of me understood she already knew the answer before she asked.

I weakly smiled and nodded she was correct and I shifted my position. It was a challenge to maneuver to just the right angle so I could watch her while appearing I was looking elsewhere. She paused for a moment, tilted her head skyward, her eyes closed, smiling. Just when I was about to shift myself again her eyes opened and she half turned to me and excitedly announced that a thunderstorm would be along shortly, just for me.

She laughed when she saw the expression on my face. “That’s the way things are done here!” she exclaimed. My expression didn’t waver. Again she laughed and it struck me that I liked the sound of her laughter even though I felt it was at my expense.

“Creating is much easier here. There is really not much of a delay at all. You’ll see.”

I thought about what she had said as I watched my fingers worry a sliver off a plank of the dock. It felt smooth even though it looked fierce and jagged. I held it in my hand and sat there staring at it. I heard myself say, “Where is…’here’?” I held my breath not knowing if I would like her answer.

“Here is just one of the next steps you can take on your path.” It was said so matter-of-factly that I was a little taken aback. My head snapped up and I found myself staring at the largest brown eyes I had ever seen. They were honest eyes, gentle eyes, and undoubtedly, wise eyes. I felt strange as I searched those eyes for other clues to other questions I had yet to ask. My head was spinning trying to make sense out of what she had said but my body was resonating like it was the first truth I had ever been told.

I looked away from her and searched the trees at the far side of the lake. I had no clue what I was looking for or even if I was looking for anything at all. It was more a matter of trying to identify with something familiar. Familiar! I almost laughed out loud.

“What’s so funny?” she asked playfully. I hesitated a moment and shook my head, “Nothing really.” I let my voice trail off hoping she wouldn’t pick up the thread and chase this topic of conversation. Fortunately, she remained quiet. Happy, but quiet. I don’t know why her incessant happiness bothered me but it did. “How can anyone be that happy all the time. It’s just so unnatural.” I thought to myself.

I gazed up to the sky and said, “So where is the thunderstorm?”

“Oh now look what has happened. You have just set it back. Guess we will have to wait a little longer now but that’s okay.” Again the smile.

“What do you mean? Because I asked a simple question I have stalled the thunderstorm?”

“That’s exactly it.” There was no judgment in her tone. The matter-of-factness was evident. “You see here,” she explained, “we have learned how to create effortlessly. We focus our energy for mere moments and manifestations occur. We trust that we are always provided for in any way, shape or form. It’s a knowing we have.” I listened intently barely allowing myself to breathe let alone believe what she was saying.

“Now where you are,” she continued, “that’s a bit of a different story, isn’t it. Where you are you are beginning to remember how effortless creation can be but you are doing it in a place that is so heavy and fraught with lower vibrations that you are almost learning to create in spite of yourselves.”

I was listening intently now and my body was resonating once again to a truth. Suddenly I felt the heaviness of my world, saw the thick fog-like energy that surrounded the planet and instantly felt the weight of it on me. I knew the colours were muted in my world while here, here they were vibrant. “Tell me more, please.” I said quietly.

“All creation is done through Love. We love who we are, where we are and that we are here. We love all the plants and flowers, trees, birds, everything. We understand that in this tapestry of evolution all things have a consciousness that has a common Source, which is Source itself. Nothing is done here without the energy of Love for it is Love that carries it and it is Source that manifests it. It is almost instantaneous. It is absolutely effortless.” She watched as the information was taking root in my mind. I was working very hard to grasp what she was saying and applying it to my world. The struggle within me was evident.

“Let me ask you a question,” she said. “If you could give your world one thing what would it be?” There was no hesitation on my part when I responded, “Love.”

“Excellent! What a great answer! Do you think it would work?”

Her question literally caused me to stop in mid-thought. Do I think it would work? Was this a trick question? She was silent as she watched me process my thoughts.

“You know,” I said, “I would have to say that if my world could be inundated with pure Love energy it might take hold. So far, sadly, it hasn’t.”

“You’re right!” Her response startled me and I watched her face beam in the alignment of truth. “Your place is already full of all the pure love energy there is. Every single one of you is that love. The fact of the matter is there aren’t many there that know it, believe it and live it. Inasmuch as you could shower everyone with love, it would roll off them like water off a duck’s back and lay in a puddle around their feet. In order for love to be infused one must be open to receiving it. The receiving only occurs if there is giving in exchange. No one seems to be able to lay down their armour for anything or anyone, even if it means peace and happiness. That is what you are creating in. Do you see that you are actually trying to create in spite of yourselves? I mean, if love is the energy that flows and Source always responds you must see that the love isn’t being acknowledged, felt and accepted let alone reciprocated. Makes creation very challenging indeed. Good thing Source knows this and is always working with you!”

Silence fell between us. I was shaking my head at the picture she had painted for me with words. It was all so true! I again looked skyward and her quick movement caught my attention. She sat there shaking her finger at me as if to say, “Don’t you dare mention that the thunderstorm isn’t here yet.”

I smiled sheepishly and asked, “So we are basically creating against all odds then. Source is willing, we want what we want and because there is no love flowing with our desire we are unsuccessful?”

“Partly. You have the desire and when you don’t see it when you think you should you begin to believe it can’t happen. When you begin to think it can’t happen then it won’t happen. When something doesn’t manifest in your reality it is never because you are not allowed or not meant to have it. It simply means your focus has not been on the highest vibration which is love. It is because your focus has been on a much lower vibration of ‘have not.” I nodded my understanding.

“Do you believe Source has limits as to what it can provide?”

“No, I don’t believe in limits but it is hard to maintain that belief when things do not happen even after long and arduous attempts. Sometimes those attempts can be a lifelong process and never be successful. It may not be a limit but on deeper levels it can be perceived as one.” I believed I had scored a point for the home team with that statement and was feeling quite good about it.

“Source has no limits. There are no such things as limits. Stop trying to be one.” This time I noticed there was no smile. “Every person in your world is love. It is the only tool you will ever need and it is the only tool you are all disconnected from. It matters not where you are, whether it is gray and heavy or brilliant and light, all creation happens the same way. Your task is to be that love in a very challenging place, trust in that love amidst all situations and believe that it is all you need. Get out of the mind and into your heart for there is your greatest power. Get out of your mind about things and you get out of your own way.”

There were tears rimming my bottom eyelids. I was so filled with love in that moment I felt euphoric. I knew this was a truth I needed to hear.

Abruptly she laughed and I quickly looked down so as not to show my state of being at that moment.

“You get it!” she exclaimed and I nodded sheepishly again and added, “Starting to,” and we both laughed.

“Remember this for when you return to over there, that Source already ‘is’ what you want. Source only knows to say I AM. It can say no other thing. When you truly desire something be it a thunderstorm or assistance or even a bigger business, know that you are already that and love the fact that Source is this way. There is nothing grander than going with the flow of Source, that you are Source, that we all are. You are supposed to be happy. That is the true flow of Source. It all stems from Love.”

By now I turned toward her allowing her to see the impact of her wisdom on me. She looked at me ever so lovingly and sighed, “Yes, I do believe you are getting it.” We both laughed.

Reluctantly I felt a pulling that was encouraging me home. She smiled knowingly and as I began to pull away I heard her laugh fade as she waved goodbye.

  1. Beautiful 🙂 I understand this, just having a hard time feeling the love, but so are most of the people on this planet, I hope we can all make a change, I hope we can move towards Love 🙂

    • Hi Gemma! Thanks for taking the time to read the article! Much more will follow as time goes by. I totally understand the challenge we all face in not just feeling the love but sustaining it with any consistency. Fortunately, it isn’t as difficult as we make it out to be simply because it is who we are. Perhaps it isn’t love that we are pursuing. Perhaps it is remembering. 🙂

      • Yes! So true, when I had an out of body experience, it was like forgetting my own home, I remembered how everything was and was supposed to be and I was happy, but back in usual life it is hard to sustain that feeling with all the negative energy about!

I look forward to your posts! 😀

  2. I loved this and was just talking to my friend Maria – Skyrubies – about it. Then I found this. I got to the part about “The receiving only occurs if there is giving in exchange. No one seems to be able to lay down their armour for anything or anyone, even if it means peace and happiness.” And got so excited about the synchronicity of both talking about this with Maria and having this on my mind lately that I went over to your Hall and posted it. My last line was, I AM. Then I went back to continue reading and read I AM in just the way I was meaning. Like I got the concept before reading. It was very cool. It just feels like confirmation.

Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us.
