Mother’s Day. A wonderful celebration of appreciation and love. Take a moment to reflect on your mother whether she be in physical or in spirit. Appreciate the dedication and the unconditional love. To all mothers who have lost children—my heart is with you on this most challenging of days. Remember you are not defined by how long motherhood endured—you are more defined by how special a soul knew you to be in order to select you for its all-too-fleeting time on this plane. Please take a moment today (and everyday) to reflect on every mother’s ability to love, and appreciate you had the honour of experiencing it.
“Be aware without becoming immersed in that which is bothersome, frustrating or causes anger. The more you focus upon those kinds of situations the more you attract like experiences into your reality. You are a creator of infinite proportion by virtue of your focus. If what you have been focusing on is not making you feel good you are inviting more of this into your world. It matters not how a situation culminated, who said what—or didn’t, who did what—or didn’t, who is right—or not. All that matters is your vibration. Tend to it in every moment. Choose to be in charge.” ~ Ara Parisien
We seem to be mid-point within the holiday season and our attention is turning toward bidding farewell to 2016 and welcoming 2017. For some 2016 has been turbulent and despairing, fraught with loss and disappointments while others have realized amazing achievements and joy. It has been, like any other year before it, a year of potential possibilities that we may have managed to notice and act upon and others, not. We now look toward 2017 with a renewed hope and a determination to ensure this coming year is far better than the last one. We make promises to ourselves which may or may not be kept; we dream; we wish and we hope.
A brand new slate of ‘time’ is creeping into our reality. It stands off in the distance, beckoning, shining and promising better times. It always entices me until I remind myself that ‘time’ is irrelevant. It is a needful thing in our day-to-day lives and keeps us on track and hopefully punctual. It is not our master.
The magic of New Year’s Eve gives us the awareness that a sense of newness is being framed into our reality. The turn of the calendar to January 1st allows us to look down the proverbial road ahead and hope for better days, weeks and months. It is helpful to know we do not need a calendar to tell us when to stop fretting and despairing and become wistful once again. We have that option open to us in each and every moment. ‘Time’, be it the time of day or a calendar year does not determine who we might become, what we will do or whether we will be happy. We do. The choice lays within each moment we breathe. Therefore each moment, in essence, is like a New Year’s Eve. The same options, the same possibilities, the choices that we may make are all right Now. No need to wait 365 days to make your wishes, fulfill your dreams or restore your hope. Your fresh start is right here, right now. Why wait for the tip of the calendar. Make all your moments a sheer celebration filled with hope, determination, faith and joy. ~ Ara Parisien, International Medium & Spiritual Teacher
There are times in my sessions with new clients that everything seems to go sideways and information imparted makes no sense and names that are shared do not connect. Other information connected but much of it didn’t. She left very grateful for what she received but was certainly puzzled over what she could not make sense of. I reassured her that validations are more powerful after the session than they are when sitting in front of me. Someone, perhaps family members, would be able to explain the names and information to her. It’s just the way it works sometimes. The very next day I received an email from her which she has allowed me to share. The names and information offered during the session indeed made sense to family members. I am sharing it so that people may see how a session may appear to have little meaning—but when dots are connected the validations can change mindsets, encourage healing, offer understanding and most of all let us all know we are still very much loved by Spirit—who are still very much a part of our daily lives.
Wow, I had to e-mail you because I feel like I missed so much at my reading yesterday, my mind was totally blown and I didn’t put a lot together at the time. So, I really wanted to write you to tell you the couple of things that I put together, after listening to the recording a couple of times, and also speaking to my family members.
– My grandpa in spirit kept mentioning food, Sausage and Perogies at one point and then later on Spaghetti. I asked Barb, my grandma who is still living, and was his wife, if she had had spaghetti for dinner lately. She told me that she had Spaghetti for dinner last week, and not only that but she lives in a retirement community, and they always have two menu options for dinner. And on the Spaghetti dinner night the other menu choice was Perogies and Sausage!!
– At one point the name Steve came through very strongly, and I couldn’t think of a Steve at all. Well my father Eric’s best friend Steve just died a few weeks ago, of cancer, and my dad had just given a eulogy at Steve’s funeral on Sunday afternoon.
– The name Marion kept coming through and I couldn’t place it at all. But it was strong and felt like an aunt. Well I work at a retirement community, and one of my dearest ladies is Marion. We are quite close and talk often!
– And finally, when we were trying to contact my Aunt Joan but she didn’t come through, and instead my Aunt Brenda came through, and she was telling us she had the dog with her. And I was pretty confused about the dog, my mom knew right away. Apparently, my Aunt Joan had a dog that was very important to her when she was living, a German Sheppard named Apollo.
I think a lot of my problem was that I just really did not know what to expect and so my mind was just racing all around and not putting two and two together. I will definitely be coming back to see you in the new year. I would really, really, love to be able to reach my Aunt Joan. I was really surprised because my dad was really interested to hear about my session and seemed disappointed when I wasn’t able to contact Joan. I really didn’t think he would believe any of it but he really did. Anyways thank you very much for everything. I really felt the need to share with you what I was able to discover after we met! Consider me a regular customer from now on and I am already planning my next visit.
All the best

Your happiness—your joy is not predicated on ‘if’ something happens or ‘when’ something happens. Happiness and joy are available in each and every moment. They are there for you now. Right now. For the longest time, the last few weeks in particular, I have been sitting back ‘observing’. I have been saddened and outraged at times but am now settling into a sense of peace and knowing. Not a lofty ‘knowing’. More like a ‘remembering’. I remember that my soul is here to evolve—which means I will grow and change—either kicking or screaming or with grace; that my heart, even though broken at times, will always mend—if I truly want to heal it; that words have the power to uplift or tear down—bullying others, minimizing others, blaming others does nothing to effect the change one prefers; that being so ‘right’ as to insist others believe as we do is folly; and that our true power is within us, not external and definitely not predicated on who does what—or doesn’t, who says what—or doesn’t. I remind myself that inasmuch as we have believed that embracing our differences is peaceful and admirable it still showcases ‘differences’. We are all the same. We are here pretending to be something different to learn, grow and above all to learn to love each other. We bump along in the illusion as empty spaces with no colour, no religion, no sexual orientation. We just are. We are all powerful beyond measure and we all have the capacity to love and respect one another. I remind myself that pushing against what we do not want only gives us more to push against when in essence if we simply focused on what we prefer we can collectively forge new trails and be the powerful change agents we came here to be. Lastly, I remember Wayne Dyer’s wise words that when you squeeze an orange, you get orange juice. What comes out of someone during challenging times is what has been in them all along. We are all being called to heal the fear that is in us being expressed externally as venom, as bullying, as self-righteousness and all else that does not serve ourselves or anyone else. When we do we will all be postured to move into a peace as yet unrevealed. ~ Ara Parisien, International Medium & Spiritual Teacher
