Dream Visitations

Have you ever had a dream where your loved one who has past appears?  It is more than a dream—it is a dream visitation.  There are clues to help you understand the difference between a simple dream and a dream visitation.  This article will bring more understanding to your experiences.  Not only will it bring clarity but it will also shed light on how important you are in the grander scheme of things; how loved you are; how your love for those who have past is still reciprocated; how worthy you are, and most importantly that the love you experience in a dream visitation is available to you in physical form.

How do they happen?

When you sleep your ego consciousness is quiet and will not engage.  The ego consciousness is what nudges you into dismissing events because they seem to be just so far-fetched (limitation of the ego consciousness) that it cannot and should not be believed.

Spirit can insert itself into your dream state rather easily and will allow you to see what you need to see or deliver a message that is necessary to inspire healing.

When do they happen?

The timing of a dream visitation is not predicated out of your desire or desperation.  Spirit has clear view of your bigger picture and will only insert itself into your dream state at the perfect time for you.  Spirit understands the fine line between wanting something so badly and needing something.  It will only present itself at the most optimum time for you.

Why do they happen?

Dream visitations occur for varied reasons.  They tend to deliver messages in a meaningful way to the dreamer according to their path of healing.  Often a loved one will present themselves in dream state to show their peace, love and joy from their vantage point of non-physical.  This allows the dreamer to know their loved ones are fine which is often enough for them to engage more fully in the art of living fully.  Other dreams may have your loved one offer a message that you will understand that is vital in your overall peace and well-being.  The reasons may be varied for their appearance in your dream but in essence the common thread is their unconditional love for you.  That love is ever-present and being sent to you in every moment.  In turn, your love for them is received and amplified.  It is an ongoing relationship, eternally.  Love never dies and neither does your loved one.

There have been times when a dream visitation has been far from pleasant.  This causes consternation in the dreamer.  Take heart, it never means your loved one is not well, is frustrated or sad or angry.  They are merely acting as the mirror you need in order to see what you are holding onto physically, mentally and emotionally.  For instance, if you see your mother in your dream and she is angry or sickly it is more that she is showing you your own worry and concern or deeply held resentment/bitterness that was present between you in life or your concern that you didn’t do enough for her at the end of her life.  Spirit will never convey anger or frustration.  If you are seeing this in your dream visitation it is your projection of your own fear and resentment onto Spirit.  This happens so that the dreamer can target these areas in waking state in order to heal them.  It is all so perfect!

Why have I never had a dream visitation?

So many of us long for that dream visitation and do everything in our power to conjure one.  It is not because you are forgotten by your loved one.  It is not because they have stopped loving you.  It is because they can see your bigger picture and know the perfect time to insert themselves.  Some never have them.  Others wait years.  Still others have them virtually right away.  It is all by design and not based on your value or worth—nor is it based on how long you have suffered or how badly you want one.  If I were to ask you what your bigger picture was would you be able to tell me?  I didn’t think so.  No one has a clear understanding of it—but Spirit does.  Trust it to do right by you.  It always has and it always will.  Unconditional love happens to work that way.  Be on the look out for other signs from loved ones during your waking states.  They are always letting you know they are right by your side!  I will cover more of these types of signs in a future article.

How to tell the difference between a dream and a dream visitation

A dream visitation is a higher vibration than that of a regular dream.  Regular dreams may not be remembered, or they can be forgotten completely.  Not so with a dream visitation.  Because of the higher frequency the details are unusually vivid and will be remembered for a lifetime.

Fresh Start

ara-fresh-start

We seem to be mid-point within the holiday season and our attention is turning toward bidding farewell to 2016 and welcoming 2017.  For some 2016 has been turbulent and despairing, fraught with loss and disappointments while others have realized amazing achievements and joy.  It has been, like any other year before it, a year of potential possibilities that we may have managed to notice and act upon and others, not.  We now look toward 2017 with a renewed hope and a determination to ensure this coming year is far better than the last one. We make promises to ourselves which may or may not be kept; we dream; we wish and we hope.

A brand new slate of ‘time’ is creeping into our reality.  It stands off in the distance, beckoning, shining and promising better times.  It always entices me until I remind myself that ‘time’ is irrelevant.  It is a needful thing in our day-to-day lives and keeps us on track and hopefully punctual.  It is not our master.

The magic of New Year’s Eve gives us the awareness that a sense of newness is being framed into our reality.  The turn of the calendar to January 1st allows us to look down the proverbial road ahead and hope for better days, weeks and months.  It is helpful to know we do not need a calendar to tell us when to stop fretting and despairing and become wistful once again.  We have that option open to us in each and every moment.  ‘Time’, be it the time of day or a calendar year does not determine who we might become, what we will do or whether we will be happy.  We do.  The choice lays within each moment we breathe.  Therefore each moment, in essence, is like a New Year’s Eve.  The same options, the same possibilities, the choices that we may make are all right Now.  No need to wait 365 days to make your wishes, fulfill your dreams or restore your hope.  Your fresh start is right here, right now.  Why wait for the tip of the calendar.  Make all your moments a sheer celebration filled with hope, determination, faith and joy.  ~ Ara Parisien, International Medium & Spiritual Teacher

Distractions

test

Just for today…remind yourself that some distractions are entirely of benefit while others are not. Allowing external circumstances to frustrate you pulls you away from your wishes, hopes and dreams. When you feel the desire to judge yourself or others, when you feel frustration building or resentments mounting it is time to distract yourself with something that makes you feel good. There is absolutely nothing more important than feeling good. Feeling good keeps you in alignment with where you ultimately want to go and what you want. Make it your focus for the day.

Complaining

Just for today…don’t complain—about anything or anyone—even if you feel justified. No amount of rightness is going to raise the level of negative energy that complaining initiates. Complaining puts the judged in charge of your wishes, hopes and dreams, which I suspect is not what you want. You are in charge of your own vibration. Own it. Choose the vibration that will consistently keep you moving closer to your dreams no matter who is doing what–or not–around you. You have the power to do this because you ARE the power. Use it, live it, be it.

Dreams

Dreams are not mystical nor are they the by-product of something you ate before you went to bed. Dreams are a very powerful and profound tool that help us understand what we are holding within. Dreams also give us a totally safe environment in order to ‘live’ certain dynamics as well as allow us to see the results of them. All this is done without consequence, not like it is in our awake world.

What happens when we dream? Firstly, the vibration that you hold is the indicator of what needs to be addressed in dream state. When we fall asleep, our waking, conscious mind is closed and our sub-conscious is wide open. I like to say the sub-conscious mind holds the filing cabinet of everything we have ever experienced with our five senses in waking state. The sub-conscious mind, according to our vibration rifles through the filing cabinet and tosses specific symbols from the files into our dream state. These symbols are geared to helping us learn and understand what is going on in us on much deeper levels. A dream is born.

The dream, if remembered, and interpreted appropriately, will shed an immense amount of light on what we are currently experiencing or consistently holding within our vibrational field. Often what we are holding onto isn’t of benefit so generally most dreams will help point you in the right direction as to what requires your healing and loving attention.

If you are a person that never seems to remember your dreams you are really missing out! It is possible to program your mind to start remembering. The process is powerful and I can attest to the fact that many of my clients who expressed difficulty in this regard noticed a marked improvement within days. The process is simply this. As you lay comfortably in your bed, eyes closed, repeat in your mind “I want to remember my dreams,” over and over again until you fall asleep. That’s it! Do this every night and you will notice that you begin to wake up with snippets of dreams and shortly thereafter will be remembering them just as well as anyone else.

For those of you who already have total recall upon awakening a dream journal is a must! Keep a daily journal of your dreams as, over time, you will begin to see a common thread woven throughout them. If you are unsure of the interpretation on a daily basis, this common thread will go a long way in pointing the way for you.

Dream interpretation is easily done once you have access to the generic dream symbols and their meanings. There are dream dictionaries on the market for your use but I would caution that most may contain ‘doom and gloom’ type explanations for rather innocuous symbols. Be careful to which dream book you refer. If one doesn’t feel good to you keep trying. Do not buy into the fear.

Remember that a dream dictionary is simply a tool that does not supersede the emotional value of the dreamer during the dream. You are the best interpreter of your dream. A dream dictionary will simply give you a frame of reference with which to work.

If you have a dream that confounds you please let me know. Perhaps I can offer a few points that will help you interpret it!

Dreams! They are as wonderful and as fascinating as the dreamer.
