There is a reason…

Ara article

Ever since I can remember I have seen, conversed with and felt Spirit.  It has always been and will continue to be entirely normal.

When I was young I tried to make it all stop as the adults around me were made very uncomfortable whenever I told them of whom I had been speaking with and then offered them the facts that I absolutely could not have known about their dear loved ones who had passed on.  Stopping It didn’t work for me.  In fact, it only made everything worse.  I vividly recall sitting on the edge of my bed shaking my tiny fist in the air and vowing that I would always promise to pay attention to Spirit if things just returned to the ease and flow I was accustomed to before I tried to stifle it all.  It worked.

To this day I honour that agreement.  Each time I sit with a client and witness the relief and release of pent up emotion from questions that have gone unanswered for far too long I understand the reason I do what I do. When I share the joy of listening to their long withheld declarations of love spoken aloud with a new-found certainty that they are heard I realize there is a reason I do what I do.

Last night I held an event, a mediumship demonstration, where Spirit moved through the room and delivered messages of healing, love, joy and unconditional love.  Spirit also offered up the evidence that our loved ones live on and are still very much a part of our lives. During the event Spirit, as always, treated me to so much unconditional love that it filled me to overflowing.  In this morning’s reflection of the event I recall the intensity of it and wondered how I could continue to work within that euphoria.  I understood there is a reason I feel it and a reason I can continue delivering the messages.

This morning I was told that one person I read in the audience last night was a complete and utter skeptic when she walked into the venue but had left knowing her father is still with her via the evidence offered to her.  I know without doubt there is a reason she came last night and an even more important reason her father visited with her and delivered the messages he did.

Yes, there is a reason I do what I do.  Being a conduit of Spirit allows its unconditional love to flow through me to everyone around me.  It is not ‘me’ delivering messages of hope, healing, love and inspiration, it is Spirit. I do what I do to afford the healing the messages hold for anyone wishing to accept it.  I do what I do because the most important message to receive is the reminder that unconditional love is who we are and we are loved in every moment.  I do what I do because Spirit loves to give evidence they live on which is life-changing to those still in physical form.  I do what I do because I get to feel it all from both sides of the fence simultaneously.

There is a reason and the reason for all of us is wonder, joy, empowerment, inspiration and love.

Gift or Ability?

spirit moves

So many times people have told me I have a gift when it comes to all things psychic and in connecting to Spirit. I have never seen it as such. I have always believed what I have is an ability. The gift is what it provides the recipient.

I have an ability. I understand the nature of energy and am able to interpret subtle vibrational shifts in its pattern as well as interpret the vibrational data offered by Spirit. People claim it is a gift because they believe I am doing something that they cannot. Applying this over a broader spectrum it appears an automobile mechanic has a gift because he can fix my vehicle where I cannot. It is an ability that is honed by practice, passion and commitment.

The gift is specifically meant for the receiver. To see hearts lighten, guilt dissolved and love flowing freely amid the pain and despair of loss is indeed very powerful. Lives are transformed by messages from Spirit and that, at least in my estimation, is a formidable gift that frees one from imagined chains and encourages people to live joyfully in spite of what they feel they have lost. What a gift that is!

Spirit connection happens. It can happen to all of us with or without the benefit of a medium. It is not the medium that is the gift. The medium is merely the conduit by which the gift travels. The medium is a mechanism that, with the cooperation of Spirit, can offer the most incredible gift of all—healing—and the encouragement to live.

Leave The Door Open

It is always interesting to me to watch the Universe unfold in the magical way it does. What seems more extraordinary to me is when you have the opportunity to watch it encompass and impact those you love. There is nothing more wonderful than seeing loved ones choosing growth and expansion. I am in the midst of this kind of experience and, as usual, feel compelled to share it others so they may perhaps understand that the wizardry of the Universe as well.

Growing up I had heard that abilities such as mine, being clairvoyant, clairaudient and clairsentient, were a product of the gene pool. Being adopted I had no way of finding out. However, as years passed I was fortunate to find my birth families and was so excited at the prospect of learning who I inherited these abilities from. You can imagine my disappointment when I learned that no one knew of anyone in the family before me that demonstrated any kind of psychic or mediumship abilities at all. I resigned myself to the understanding that while I am in human form I will perhaps never know the origin within my roots.

In getting to know my birth families it became evident to me that not only did they not know of family members who possessed these abilities—many of them did not believe in anything of this nature. The feeling of ‘home’ started to disintegrate before my very eyes. Once again I was looked upon as different and my abilities viewed as a by-product of an over active imagination. Still, I could not change who I was and in spite of everything I persevered and committed myself to a lifelong path of service.

Through the years my accomplishments and achievements have been met by cool nods of tolerance. Not once did they make me feel ‘less than’ but it was very clear that their belief structure was not even remotely ready to include acceptance. Until now.

I had the good fortune to be featured in a London, England based magazine called, Becoming Psychic. This upstart of a magazine is turning out to be a trendsetting endeavour that is fast tracked on the path to wild success. Not only was I on the cover of the magazine but there was a full spread inside with an in-depth interview. While I have never been one to wave a banner around when it comes to what I am doing or where the work is taking me, I had a moment of inspiration and decided to send the link to the magazine to my birth father. I didn’t expect a response other than a quick message telling me how ‘nice’ it was. I was quite surprised when his response was warm and wonderful. In his email he indicated that in reading the interview he garnered so much knowledge of what I do and commented that I expressed it all so confidently. This led him to understand the depth of my commitment and the passion with which I live and serve others. While he may not yet understand the work itself it really doesn’t matter. What matters to me is that he is opening to the possibilities of it. He is choosing expansion of Self instead of closing the door to that which unnerves him.

It is one thing to accept others but to accept another while leaving the door open to learning more is remarkable to me. I do not have a need to convince anyone. I am not on a crusade of my rightness. I am merely sharing a part of me with him that has always been there–a part he was not willing to entertain for many years. Today, he has chosen to learn. I am immensely happy!

In closing, I felt it important to share this tiny experience with all of you simply to show that if we all stop taking things personally and insisting that others understand and accept us fully there might come a day when a miracle happens. Accept everyone as they are–but leave the door open. It is an open door to enrichment and empowerment. My birth father is on a journey just like the rest of us. What a wonder it is to be so intricately involved. I know with certainty he is walking through my open door—only because he has opened his. Today, I am looking forward to a long conversation on the phone with him. He is eager and excited to talk about all of this and my heart is expanding with joy at the mere thought of sharing this with him.

For those of you with open doors and who would like to know more about my work, here is the link to the magazine interview.

Remember, it is important to share yourself freely, be grateful always, love joyfully and accept all things graciously. Leave your door open.

When Worlds Collide

It is evident to me that clarity in the services I provide is long overdue.

Labels are a necessary evil on this plane. They define us, they give others a frame of reference as to what we might do. They do not, however, adequately reflect who we truly are. People do, however, expect you to live up to them even though their lens is purely a subjective one.

For instance, the label that is easily recognizable to many is that of ‘Psychic Medium.’ People seem to know at first glance what the label connotes and are either instantly interested or they politely look the other way, which, in essence doesn’t bother me one iota as the label is not who I am it is what I do.

The label, ‘Psychic Medium’ is actually redundant because all mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums. Nevertheless, some choose to use it as a reminder that one is more than a medium and more than a psychic. To each their own. Either way, people generally know what they are getting when it is time to consider booking the service.

Add to this label, “Transformation Coach’ and people scratch their heads. This extended label suddenly has blurred the line between something that is ‘known’ with something that is not. It has piqued curiosity in some and consternation and confusion in others.

What is a Transformation Coach anyway? In my case, and I can only speak from my vantage point, but considering I coined the phrase you are getting this right from the horse’s mouth so to speak. In my work as a Medium I was led by Spirit to see there was more to life than living, struggling, a glimpse of joy, grieving, feigned peace and then death. What matters most to loved ones ‘on the other side’ is how we continue to live. Little by little I was offered the tools to assist in transforming one’s life from something tedious, arduous, painful and mundane to something joyful. They also are effective in helping one re-self-define after a loss so they are able to embrace the joy they truly are and begin to live again. Not only do these tools have the ability to impact the grieving, they are useful to anyone who wishes to let go of the struggle and live within their innate power. I should know because I never offer anything I have not learned, implemented and live in my own life. In essence, the label “Transformation Coach” was borne from my work as a Medium. It is part and parcel of the work I do. Given I dedicate a strong focus to the empowerment of individuals I can certainly see how and why Spirit worked with me in this way.

My work as a Medium is entirely rewarding as I am able to impart evidentiary messages from loved ones in non-physical to those still here. There is no question how powerful the impact can be on one who is grieving. It truly can be a catalyst to healing. With each session I conduct I consistently marvel at Spirit’s loving generosity in allowing us to know that we do not die. Evidence and messages are a most wonderful gift for all concerned. But is it enough? Chances are it is for some but not for all. Some definitely are in need of and ask for the answer to, “But how do I go on?” The expertise of Transformation Coach becomes relevant.

As a Psychic, people may be disappointed to know that I do not give out winning lottery numbers. If winning the lottery was so important in one’s lifetime then we would all be winners and I would be typing this Blog from my laptop on a beach in the Bahamas. I do not dabble in doom and gloom messages such as, “Never get on a #4 bus on a Thursday.” I believe, and so do my guides, that the only messages that are vital and worthy are positive and empowering ones. It is this way because being empowered and living authentically keeps the #4 buses on Thursdays from being an issue at all. The life path guidance is all to do with you and your empowerment. It is a proactive approach to help you in your life by lifting the fog of confusion which helps you see your own choices more clearly. Your future is not mine to predict. It is yours to create. All I will do, through the good guidance of my Spirit Guides is point you in the direction of the opportunities that are scattered along the path you walk. How do you identify these opportunities and know whether you should take advantage of them? By being aware of your innate power which I teach through the lens of Transformation Coach.

Chakra work is another part of the session as my guides believe that if we are aware of the vibrational energy we are storing within that is not of benefit then we might be more apt to heal it. In that way we are actually helping to sustain our physical form as well. How do we set about healing in this regard? By the tools offered through the Transformation Coaching.

When worlds collide–being the world of a Medium and the world of Transformation Coaching, everything is affected, everything is enhanced. The psychic guidance becomes more than the answer to ‘Does he really love me?’ and the mediumship becomes more than a response to, “Is my loved one around me?” It breathes a new life into life.

We are all here to evolve and grow. If I am to evolve and grow, which I am, then my work should evolve and grow as well, which it has and will continue to do so. Thus, the extended label. Suggesting that I should be labeled only as a Medium indicates I can and will do only one thing and that is converse with loved ones on the other side. Asking me to pigeon-hole myself into one area of expertise is like asking the weather person to only focus on the temperatures and ignore the rest of the forecast.

Some may find the label too lofty, cumbersome or confusing. Perhaps this will help– Mediumship is a sure fire way to find relief from the pain you are experiencing. The Transformation Coaching helps you evolve through the pain and begin to live the expanded version of yourself that the painful experience has caused you to become. Two intermingled approaches to one goal–and that is to live to your true potential.

When selecting from the wide and varied menu of Psychics or Mediums to provide their unique services to you it is important to have a frame of reference and know what you are actually signing up for. Their services are often multi-faceted and may offer many tools to assist in living authentically. Many may appear as appetizers on that menu but many are also the full meal deal.

I have chosen my label because it depicts an evolving foundation of the work I am engaged in–which is more than being a Medium. It was not chosen to deliberately confuse or confound. It was not chosen to stand apart from others. It was a fair and balanced decision to accurately reflect what I do. Perhaps at some point in the future we will not need labels at all. At that time you will more than likely hear me say, “Hello! I am a fellow traveler, how can I help you?”

For now, I will remain,

~Ara Parisien
